Why should there be any man power? When a domain is registered the vetting is performed automatically... Why not make the same process, where the new registrant puts in their details and their 'claim' to use the domain - and it is validated exactly the same way as a new domain. ...Skeeve _______________________________________________________ Skeeve Stevens, RHCE Email: skeeve§skeeve.org Si vis pacem, para bellum -----Original Message----- From: dns-bounces+skeeve=skeeve.org§dotau.org [mailto:dns-bounces+skeeve=skeeve.org§dotau.org] On Behalf Of Sean Finn Sent: Tuesday, 27 September 2005 12:57 PM To: '.au DNS Discussion List' Subject: Re: [DNS] Changes to policy > I agree with Bruce's proposed policy change on this... though I don't > see the need for a net.au trial - this just confuses things further... > I say we just move forward. This brings about the question, who pays for the manpower to manually vet these changes? I suggest that domain transfers are possible in this manner, but the registrants must enter into a new 2 year arrangement, with the licensing fee going to the registrar for performing the registration / incurring the cost of vetting. -Sean. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- List policy, unsubscribing and archives => http://dotau.org/ ======================================================================== iBurst Wireless Broadband from $34.95/month www.platformnetworks.net Forward undetected SPAM to: spam§mailsecurity.net.au ======================================================================== ======================================================================== iBurst Wireless Broadband from $34.95/month www.platformnetworks.net Forward undetected SPAM to: spam§mailsecurity.net.au ========================================================================Received on Tue Sep 27 2005 - 03:18:36 UTC
