My approach. Keep in mind a lot of our business system is based on clients using our CMS. We don't add a mark-up to domain registration and because people use our CMS they really have little choice about hosting. The reasoning behind this system is then if people try to match us on registration pricing then we are always cheaper. This way on apples vs apples we are exceptional value. We have had clients approached on differing web options and they simply ask how much to register a domain name. They can't directly compare us on hosting options as our CMS gives us a unique point of difference. This is proving an effective deterrent to competitors for us and gives clients a perception we are good value. If anyone has feedback on this system I'd love to hear it. It looks as though auDA might have another representative class member ;-). What I find missing from the auDA environment is a forum in which auDA, auDA Panel members, industry participants, stakeholders and citizens collectively *engage* one another on specific issues. I appreciate the participation of a small number of people on this list (who are Board members). In the past there was talk of an auDA members' list.
