Is this documented anywhere on the auDA site?

The transfer policy states that "the registrant receives a new 2 year
domain name licence .... which takes effect from the date of transfer"
and "Registrants are not entitled to be reimbursed by the losing
registrar for the unused portion of their domain name licence."
