Kim - a thought. Some resellers are feeling vulnerable because they're not seeing auDA acting to stop the cause of Ginger's passion, and possibly don't appreciate that it's due to auDA's current impotence, rather than their neglect. Is there some way that you can bullet point auDA's progress to empowerment, and some key policy synopses, so that resellers can see that action is just around the corner? More importantly, to see that auDA has indeed recognised and reacted to the problems, and are ready to deal with them under the new regime? I know that all of this is covered in the various documents that are on auDA's site, but they're a lot to wade through simply to see what auDA's position is on rogue marketing practices. Quoting Ginger FISH on Wednesday May 15, 2002: | [...dodgy resellers...] | I can't understand why AUda tolerate such practices. Ginger - this is wearing thin. Or maybe you just choose not to listen. auDA doesn't tolerate deceptive advertising. Why would it? It has never said that it does. auDA is simply not empowered to act on things in the way we would all like. The situation has been identified ad nauseum. With a huge shift of the industry on the horizon, auDA has taken steps to ensure it CAN act and WILL reduce this kind of conduct in the near future. Surely you can think of something new or productive to add to this discussion. If you can't, I for one, would be glad to let you know we have heard your point over and over again. You don't need to make yourself a perpetual echo in here. kim --------------------------------------------------------------------------- List policy, unsubscribing and archives => http://www.auda.org.au/list/dns/ Please do not retransmit articles on this list without permission of the author, further information at the above URL.
