ICANN forum warns of Web vulnerability
The Internet is vulnerable to hacker and terrorist attacks across a
broad front. 
That was the conclusion at a three-day forum held this week in Los
Angeles by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers,
the nonprofit organization that oversees the Web's address system.
The event's focus was narrowed to online security after the Sept. 11
terrorist attacks on the East Coast.

ICANN warned of its own vulnerabilities 
Many of the people attending the Internet Corporation for Assigned
Names and Numbers' (ICANN) conference last week used a wireless
network at the hotel, and AT&T researcher Randy Bush knew some of the
passwords they typed into their systems. He shared one password,
"Ireland" and several others, over the conference's public address
system.

Panel divided over sucks.com domain dispute
An international arbitration tribunal has awarded the domain name
vivendiuniversalsucks.com to broadcasting multinational Vivendi
Universal, despite the panel that heard the case splitting over the
decision.
The World Intellectual Property Organisation ruled last week that the
disputed domain name should be handed back to Vivendi because
