Hi Glen -

Iain Morrison (cc'ed to this message) is probably best qualified to
respond
to your concerns re: .edu.au and csiro.au.  He represents AVCC and
CSIRO on
the AU WG (http://au.moniker.net/site_doc/wg_members.html).  I've also
cc'ed
your comments to au-wg-submit&#167;moniker.net as some members of the AU WG
are
not on the dns list.

Re: the timetable, I agree that end of Jan as the closing of the
public
comment period is pretty close.  Perhaps that can be extended
somewhat, I'm
not it a position to say but I can raise it at the next teleconf 13
Jan.
Someone should write a coherent explanation of the timeframe as the
same
question arose on the link list.  Have you got any specific
organisations in
mind that will be unable to formally comment because of the timeframe?
