More companies are going 'Back to the Future' with .com domain names

Last year, I wrote this post and started keeping tabs on the ever-growing list of companies that tried an alternative generic gTLD, skewing their internet "space-time continuum" in the process before eventually switching back to a .com domain to get things back to normal. One might have argued that these companies were simply the exception and not the norm, but this trend isn't showing any signs of slowing down. Since my last post on this topic in December, a number of additional companies had their own Marty McFly moment and made the switch to .com after having tried an alternative domain.
