Jon, to check every applicant's warranty would be an impossible burden for any registrar, and I'd never support that. I'm only suggesting that in such a case where a household brand is involved, a prudent registrar should / would have been less willing to allow the registration to proceed. Or might have discouraged the registration on the basis of what looks like a warranty given in bad faith. Yeah, I know - registrars can't become the guardians of everybody's intellectual property.
