 I have done my research and if scandinavian countries are a measure of 
"quality of life" then we are in deep shit. denmark for example has a far 
worse rates of assault and burglary then the USA. if thats your idea of 
quality lifestyle then its you who needs to get a clue.

the scandinavian countries have ridiculously high unemployment, high rates of 
suicide, high crime rates, high rates of brain drain, very high tax rates 
which cause a steady stream of successful people immigrating out.

there is nothing about scandinavia anyone can possibly hold up as an example, 
other then the fact the people there thinking it doesnt get better then this.

whilst this is a dns forum, you want to debate this issue? find any forum and

OK, last comment as what Kim says is apt, that this
list is for DNS issues, so...

For one thing, you get the basic fundamentals of
communism/socialism wrong... there are no
communist/socialist countries in the world, and never
have been.

Cuba may get close, but lacks universal suffrage and I
imagine human rights issues are an impediment to
claiming they are really communist. These days the
closest could be the Scandinavian countries where
economic growth and human development are probably the
best in the world.

If you want to carry on about the merits of
capitalism, look at the rankings of quality of life
and see what countries dominate - Scandinavian
countries, Switzerland, Canada.

And look for the surveys that prove that unfettered
capitalism are an impediment to growth. The most
successful countries are the democratic left-of-centre
(democratic socialist if you want) countries.

People are paid well, there are less gaps between the
rich and the poor and there are far fewer social
problems.

So give up on your rabid right wing views that Alan
Jones would be proud of and start researching and
seeing what is successful. The flag bearer of
capitalism, the USA, in whatever measure you wish to
use, is poor. The role of government to regulate has
been shown internationally to be of benefit to all -
rich and poor.
