I suppose the issue would be mute if domainname sales are part of the free
trade agreement with the US (I have no idea) ... if not whack a 10% levy on
overseas companies .. then the registry makes more $ , the playing field is
level and everyone is happy.

The other option is to only accept Australian businesses as registrars .. at
least then they must abide by our consumer laws ..

Personally I prefer the latter.
