Massive demand for umlauted domains
DENIC, the German registry for .de domains, has received
more than 600,000 applications for .de domain names
containing umlauts - vastly in excess of the anticipated
demand. This is the first time DENIC and its members have

New TLDs: All three-letter .info and .biz domains
registered
Every one of the 17,576 possible combinations all
disappeared in .com, .net and .org long time ago. Heading
into the last week of February 2003, there were still
thousands of threes available in .info and .biz . Then
things literally changed overnight. On Monday, Feb. 23, the
