Hi Chris,
 
I have spoken more with Defence about entry into the DSD compound. DSD
will sign you in on the day. You will remain under escort while you are
within the compound. 
 
You must not bring any photographic equipment (including mobile phones
with cameras) into the compound. You will NOT be able to leave these at
the gate. Any other electronic devices including personal organisers and
mobile phones will need to be left at DSD's front desk. 
 
You will not be able to bring in computers and/or disks. If you want to
use slide packs etc, could you please email them to me a couple of days
in advance? I'll then put them through the correct processes and have
them available to you on the day.
 
I apologise if this inconveniences you but I am sure you appreciate the
need for security. 
 
We have been having some email problems, so could you please acknowledge
receipt of this email?

Sorry for the delayed response. I have spoken with Defence and people
here and the suggested time on 13 November would be suitable. Defence
have agreed to host the event as they are in a better position to
provide an UNCLASSIFIED network connection. 
 
I or someone from Defence will contact you closer to the date to discuss
how to get you into the compound and then into the building (it is two
steps unfortunately). 
 
Thanks for offering to visit Canberra, and I'll see you in a few weeks
time.

Following our meeting yesterday, either 13 or 14 November would work for
auDA and AusRegistry. Our preference would be to start around 10.00 with
an aim of finishing at lunch time.
