Sorry if I didn't explain fully, but I found the answer in the text Josh sent me the link to. I meant a corporate entity. The client in question is getting offers to be bought out and because the entire brand is based around a successful domain(webbie or webname) transferring the domain in question is essential. The actual company structure is quite complex with tactics being employed to keep money from malignant ex wifes apparently. ;-) The transfer meets the requirements of Auda so it doesn't look like there will be any major hassle other than several letters and a longer transfer time. Company doesn't' ? .com/net .au domains are 'leased/whatever' by business entities... If you sell a business/company, the domain goes with it... It's linked to a business entity, not a person entity as far as I know. Hence.. If you want to 'sell' a Domain name, or more politically correct - pass a domain you have to another party, you are able to sell the business name/company, and the domain name happens to go with it. ...Skeeve -----Original Message----- From: John Thomson [mailto:john§hep10.com] Sent: Monday, 18 August 2003 6:20 PM To: dns§lists.auda.org.au Subject: [DNS] transfer question Hi All Are there any circumstances a domain name can be transferred under? ie. selling a business can the domain go with it if the company doesn't?
