The future of auDA

With the greatest respect to Mr Rowe this is a prime example of how lacking in transparency the auDA representation really is. not only has it been shown to be lacking in accountablility there is no way that any submissions to auda in correspondence or otherwise would see the light of day ouside of any board meeting.

So the DNS list is the only place to raise these issues.

The Australian internet community deserves what was promised under the ICANN mandate and the madate handed to auDA with both the consent of the Australian government. A quick review of archived founding documents and the auDA constitution in fact require the matters that I have raised over the last couple of days.

The only way around this stuation is for members to exercise their voting power and block vote new Board Members who are prepared to stand up and enforce the founding principles of the .au domain space.

I look forward to the day that auDA puts in place a members electronic ballot on major issues kind of like a referendum. Perhaps the audawatch site may be able to cater for this.
