That URL was not working at the start of year 2000 (the directory got moved before auDA got access to AUNIC). auDA permanently turned off anon ftp access to bulk AUNIC data on 1 September 2000. (It had been on and off at times earlier in 2000.) In 1999 the bulk data was publically available to anyone who wanted it, so I don't see a problem with Josh pointing that out in 1999. Please also remember that 11 auDA Directors are subject to election by auDA members every 2 years. If you think you can do a better job than a current Director, you are welcome to nominate at the next AGM. ] since all of you think we have the aunic database ] ] and we actually dont ] ] but is seems that a certain person on this list ] ] has been telling others where to get it since 1999 ] ] is this the sort of person should be on the auda board ] ] ] ] ] RE: [DNS] INA/Big Color Pages ] From: Rowe, Joshua (Joshua.Rowe§auspost.com.au) ] Date: Wed Nov 03 1999 - 10:46:10 WST ] ... ] ] Anyone can download the AUNIC database from ] ftp://ftp.aunic.net/aunic/rwhoisdb/ ] ... ___________________________________________________________________ David Keegel, an auDA Director. auDA manages AUNIC operations. auDA: .au Domain Administration.
