WIPO Continues Efforts To Curb Cybersquatting (WIPO news release)
An encouraging trend witnessed in 2001, which saw a modest decline in
the number of cybersquatting cases in the .com, .net and .org
domains, was quickly reversed as new generic top level domains
(gTLDs) were rolled out, swelling the total number of cases received
by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) by some 100%
in the last quarter of the year. Moreover, it is anticipated that the
internationalization of domain names will also create new
opportunities for cybersquatters as it becomes possible to register
domain names in non-ASCII characters such as Chinese.

From Baker & McKenzie Global E-Law Alert
Domain Name Conflict
Decolar.com Ltd. which is part of the Despegar Group and operates an
online travel business via "decolar.com," can no longer use the
domain name "decolar.com.br" or the statement "Decolar" in any form
or for any purpose. The decision by a Court of the State of Sao
Paulo, in first degree of jurisdiction, states that a travel agency
named Decolar Viagens e Turismo Ltd. registered the corporate name
and trademark "Decolar" before Decolar.com Ltd., and has consequently
acquired proprietary rights in the mark "Decolar."
