Will Peter Dean please identify his true interests as
it seems they are somewhat confusing. Does he care to
be a respected member of the industry and use business
practices as would be reasonably acceptable/expected
from an auDA Director ? Or is he simply on the board
and a member of the code of conduct committee to
protect his own commercial interests? It seems his
business practices could be of a similar vein to that
of ING. (It's ok to mislead consumers if you are of
the opinion you would win the right to do so in a
court room)

In the context of the conversation, the identity of
the writer of the comments below is totally
irrelevant. Peter Dean should get off his high
horse and stop attempting to divert focus for he is
the one reacting in a childish manner. My identity has
no reflection on the facts as presented. For this is
not personal at all Mr Dean. Facts are facts and the
facts are as stated below. Now the manner in which you
respond simply indicates that you are willing, if not
eager, to damage your own credibility more so.

Demanding respect and recognition ? It's almost
laughable.

Would it be fair to say that Peter Dean registered the
following domain names and uploaded his commercial
websites knowing there was a possibility he was about
to confuse and possibly deceive Australian consumers?
He was instructed by auDA to place the following
warning on the sites, "If you arrived here expecting
the Australian Network Information Centre (aunic)
Click Here" Perhaps he should have been advised by
auDA to give up the idea totally and save credibility.

www.aunic.com.au
www.aunic.net.au

The websites remain. An auDA Director clearly sees no
harm in possibly misleading Australian consumers, and
THAT is not laughable. Should we accept such arrogance
and perhaps irresponsible behaviour, simply because
Peter Dean is an auDA Director? Not a chance. One may
gain respect leading by example, there is no place for
arrogance and/or shonky practices.
