Hello Kenneth,
I beg to differ on that last point you made. I have been involved in .org.au
domains for 2 years and have never received a confirmation of approval so
quickly. In fact I contacted Robert Elz regarding this and he has told me
the following:

Date: Tue, 22 May 2001 19:03:41 +0800
    From: ravin§wn.com.au
    Message-ID: <004d01c0e2ae$dccec860$0200a8c0§server>

  | The main thing I require from this email is a realistic timeframe
  | time frame that I can give my clients.

Sorry, there's no such thing - org.au processing delays vary wildly.
Just at the minute it is about as long as it has ever been, though
decreasing a bit from what it was a week ago (it stretched to about 7
weeks, now is between 5 & 6 I think). I hope to keep it coming down.
There have been times when the delay has been about a day. Perhaps
that will happen again...
Robert

This is the response I received from him when I tried to offer a timeframe
to my clients. If you no a quicker process , please enlighten me.

If you own the .org.au domain name, you approve it!

Its the service providers that are taking so long, it should be a 24 hour
thing...

If you read aunic.net information about delegation, you fill in a form with
the required nameservers and in about 24 hours they are completed, if the
nameservers are configured...

I have registered a .org.au name for my church, i know it took a while to
get at first, but when i want to delegate it (move serviceproviders), that
does not take long at all...
