According to an Industry Standard article, the Commerce Department's review of the VeriSign / ICANN agreement that extends the firm's control of the dot-com domain has the company thinking twice about completing the deal. The two sides have met the past few days to try and re-write the controversial agreement, but have failed to reach a deal that would satisfy the Commerce Department.
