Doesn't this seem a little rushed? The staff report was only finished on Nov 9.... .pro - "Most proposals in this group are not technically suited, or do not have sufficiently representative sponsors, to merit selection." For those who haven't read the articles, those approved were: .info - general purpose .biz - general purpose .coop - restricted to coops .aero - for the air travel industry .museum - restricted to museums .name - personal domains Interesting was the change from .air to .aero which is a more international spelling, although I did prefer .nom to .name, again for its non-American feel. Ignored was the report's recommendation of .geo. This appeared to be one of the more interesting ideas. <http://www.icann.org/tlds/report/report-iiib3-09nov00.htm> Good luck to Melbourne IT for getting the most lucrative sounding .biz. Although I still don't like the misspelling of 'business', perhaps companies will take it up. Does this list think that the new TLDs will apply pressure to create similar name space within .au?
