Hello all, Well done, AuDA ... this might have caused problems in future .. Domain name reseller changes name after complaints Tuesday, November 14, 2000, 8:15 By JENNY SINCLAIR, AGE IT http://www.it.fairfax.com.au/breaking/20001114/A48827-2000Nov14.html A domain name reseller has changed its own name after the .au Domain Authority (auDA) complained it was misleading. The Domain Name Authority of Australia has become Discount Domain Name Services, and has also moved its website to the com.au domain space from a controversial .asn.au (for association) location. AuDA chief executive Chris Disspain said the peak body was delighted with the move. "We were concerned that by using that name the company was suggesting a connection both with ourselves and the Commonwealth government, as well as implying that it was in some way responsible for domain names in Australia." -- Cheers all ..
