The line between tiddler and white pointer has changed. Many corporations are paying over the odds for fear of being left out of the new economy. And its the tiddlers that are taking them to the cleaners ... doug ps off topic for this list but an example of what I am saying. A visiting economist to australia last week pointed out that many of the Internet bubble players are investing in ventures that are still laden with fufillment and manufacturing costs. ie these costs will ensure that the pe's people are paying are unsustainable. Compare this to say software makers and others where production and fuflfillment costs are essentially zero. There are many white-pointers who've got the model totally wrong, backed the wrong horse and are unlikely to ever make a profit on their current investment (they have paid far to much to get into the game).Received on Mon Apr 10 2000 - 14:37:58 UTC
