.au Domain Administration Hosting of AUNIC Services Expression of Interest (EOI) The .au Domain Administration (auDA) is the industry self-regulatory body for administering the .au namespace (Internet domains that end with .au). AUNIC is the central registry service for Internet domain names in Australia, and is currently being transferred to auDA. auDA is seeking expressions of interest for suitably qualified organisations to tender for the hosting services of the AUNIC system. This includes hosting and supporting the www.aunic.net web site and associated registry database, on behalf of auDA, and subject to auDA oversight. Organisations will need to be able to demonstrate, as a minimum: - experience in hosting a 24x7 mission critical system; - a high bandwidth connection to the Internet backbone (10Mb/s or higher). Responses should include an overview of the organisation, its facilities and services, and a brief description of why the organisation would be the most appropriate to host the AUNIC service. On examination of expressions of interest, suitably qualified service providers will be sent detailed requirements and specifications of the AUNIC system to facilitate lodging a full tender. Submissions are to be sent via electronic mail to the AUNIC System Panel Chair at nic§auda.org.au by the close of business Friday 4th February 2000.Received on Wed Jan 26 2000 - 07:24:31 UTC
