Mark Davidson Sydney ----- Start forwarded message ----- The .au Domain Administration (auDA) is a company formed by key industry and user groups with the aim of undertaking industry self-regulation of the Internet domain name space within Australia. The current Interim Board has the responsibility to work with key stakeholders and government to secure appropriate delegations of authority, quickly establish principles of operation and secure stakeholder commitment prior to the Annual General Meeting and election of the First Board in September 1999. As a first step in the consultative process for developing the policies under which the organisation will operate, auDA has established a web site containing working drafts of policy documents currently under consideration. auDA hopes to encourage the involvement of key stakeholders and other interested participants in policy development by ensuring the community has the opportunity to contribute constructive feedback. The Interim Board will be considering the following draft policies at the next meeting to be held on July 5, 1999, and would encourage comments before this date: 1. Guidelines for the operation of Policy Advisory Panels (v1.0 DRAFT) 2. Framework for domain delegation and licencing (v1.0 DRAFT) 3. Interim Board Objectives (v1.0 DRAFT) Copies of these documents and additional information on the auDA organisation, its history, principles and objectives can be found on the auDA web site at: http://www.auda.org.au/ Feedback on the content of these documents or other aspects of the auDA organisation is welcomed, and can be addressed to comments§auda.org.au. ----- End forwarded message -----Received on Thu Jul 01 1999 - 14:46:53 UTC
