With equal respect Narelle (and kre) a lot more than Robert Elz. The kind of infrastructure that has enabled us to sell (yes register and administer) over 2500 domains in 5 months in seven different domain endings.

My offer is (believe it or not) genuine.

What I mean is a free service for one year with no charges to anyone, adhering to the current rules, for the good of the Australian Internet community, with no ability to start charging at any point.

The one year was to allow us to get out if it costs us too much money, not to allow us to then start charging.

Let me repeat - this is a serious and genuine offer. NetRegistry would like to take the administrative burden of .org.au from kre as a volunteer service to the Australian Internet Industry and community.

This is not a quick fix offer, this is a serious move forward for .org.au and the DNS in Australia.
