The following message is on the connect.com.au page for .net.au registrations:

Registration of net.au domains is currently suspended pending the
initiation of a new net.au policy. The suspension is necessary to allow us
to complete
    existing net.au applications and then implement a clean cut over to the
new policy.

    Registration is expected to re-open on the 5th of May.

Anyone have any ideas what this is all about?
